About Ocean Reef Club
Ocean Reef Club's golf tradition dates to 1955, when its first nine-hole course opened as part of an exclusive private residential community at the northern tip of Key Largo. Today the club offers 36 holes, a genuine rarity in the Florida Keys. The Dolphin Course arrived in 1970 and the Hammock Course in 1985, both credited to the design team of Bruce Devlin and Robert von Hagge, with Tom Fazio later reworking the Hammock layout in the 1990s. Threaded through tropical hammock, mangroves and saltwater, the courses share the club's larger identity as a secluded, members-and-guests-only enclave. Ocean Reef is also known for an unusual coral-reef exhibit that doubles as one of golf's more distinctive water features.
