We love standing where the senior game was born. Onion Creek is the only course Jimmy Demaret ever built, and you can feel his easygoing, nature-first hand in every walkable hole. For a Formula 18 group, it's living history, proof that great golf and great gatherings have always belonged together.

About Onion Creek Club
Onion Creek Club opened in 1974 as the only golf course ever designed by Jimmy Demaret, the flamboyant three-time Masters champion who also co-owned the property south of Austin. Demaret favored a natural, walkable layout that hugged the Hill Country terrain. The club earned lasting fame in 1978, when Demaret and television producer Fred Raphael staged the inaugural Legends of Golf, a two-man team event pairing golf's great older champions. Its popularity revealed a genuine appetite for senior competition and directly inspired what became the Senior PGA Tour, now the PGA Tour Champions, earning Demaret recognition as 'Father of the Senior Tour.' In the mid-1990s, Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore designed an additional nine holes, expanding Onion Creek to its present 27-hole configuration while preserving Demaret's understated character.
