Robber's Row at Port Royal Golf & Racquet Club on Hilton Head Island first opened for play in 1967, originally laid out by George W. Cobb (sources also credit Willard C. Byrd on the original work). In 1994 it was extensively redesigned by Pete Dye, who reworked the bunkering and adjusted the nines' pars, creating Port Royal's most scenic, heavily wooded course. It sits on former Civil War encampment grounds and is one of three Port Royal courses under Heritage Golf Group.
