About Kiawah Island Golf Resort - Ocean Course

The Pete Dye–designed Ocean Course opened in 1991 and immediately hosted that year's Ryder Cup — the dramatic "War by the Shore." It later hosted two PGA Championships: 2012 (Rory McIlroy, by a record eight strokes) and 2021 (Phil Mickelson, who at 50 became the oldest men's major champion in history).
