Mallard Head Country Club

Mallard Head Country Club in Mooresville, NC, opened its 18-hole championship course on September 4, 1979. The layout was designed by George W. Cobb — known for the par-3 course at Augusta National and for Quail Hollow — after developer John Campbell was dissatisfied with an earlier local design. Tied to the Lake Norman area's early development, the course has more recently been sold and is transitioning to the name Lake Norman Golf Club.
