We love Coosa Country Club for the way it carries more than a century of Rome golf in its bones. There's something special about a course that opened in 1909, matured hole by hole, and still feels freshly cared for after its recent renovation. It's classic Georgia club golf, unhurried and full of local history.

About Coosa Country Club
Coosa Country Club was founded in 1909 in Rome, Georgia, making it one of the state's oldest private clubs. Set among the rolling hills of northwest Georgia near the Coosa River, the member-owned club built its golf course in stages over the following decades. The back nine, designed by architect Charles W. Hall, opened in 1932. In 1961, noted Southern golf architect George Cobb led a significant redesign, relocating the seventh, eighth, and ninth holes and adding a dedicated practice range. More recently, in 2023, Beau Welling Design completed a comprehensive renovation of the layout. The par-72 course plays roughly 6,800 yards over Bermuda turf. Beyond golf, Coosa offers a traditional country-club setting for its members. The club remains a fixture of the Rome community and one of the region's longstanding homes for the game.
