We love Seaside for its salt air and its lineage: Colt and Alison holes framed by Georgia marsh, reborn under Tom Fazio without losing their soul. Few places in America feel this much like true links golf, wind off the water and all. It is coastal golf that stays with you long after the round.

About Sea Island Golf Club - Seaside
The Seaside Course traces to the late 1920s, when developer Howard Coffin brought golf to St Simons Island. Walter Travis laid out an initial nine around 1927, and in 1928-29 the English architects Harry Colt and Charles Alison created a celebrated seaside nine that wove tidal marsh and coastal dunes into the routing; Bobby Jones is said to have praised it among the best nines he ever played. For decades those holes were paired with other nines, including Joe Lee's later Marshside course. In 1999 Tom Fazio, consulting with Sea Island touring professional Davis Love III, rebuilt and combined the classic Colt and Alison holes with the Marshside nine to form today's 18-hole Seaside Course. Alongside Sea Island's Plantation Course, Seaside now co-hosts the PGA Tour's RSM Classic each autumn and anchors one of the country's premier golf resorts.
