About Quarry Pines Golf Club

The course began in December 1997 as The Links at Continental Ranch, billed as Tucson's first Scottish links-style course, built on the edge of a sand-and-gravel quarry up to 100 feet deep. In 2000 the quarry was slated for reclamation, and the course was rebuilt down into the old quarry site; the new layout opened in October 2003 as The Pines Golf Club (now Quarry Pines), designed by Brian Huntley. It is public.
