Windy Knoll opened in 2001 on the former Windy Knolls Horse Farm in Springfield. The links-style Brian Huntley design keeps the farm's character in hole names like The Pasture, Stallion Row, The Saddle and Starting Gate. Springfield natives later bought it and renovated the pro shop, the Stables restaurant and the Derby events center.
