About Reese Golf Center
The golf course at the former Reese Air Force Base west of Lubbock, Texas first opened for military play in 1956. After the base was selected for closure in 1995 and shut down on September 30, 1997, the course transitioned to civilian operation, with a 1997 redesign attributed to architect George B. Williams. The site is now part of the Reese Technology Center, and the course operates publicly as Reese Golf Center.
