Rich Harvest Farms Golf Course

Rich Harvest Farms is an ultra-private club and estate spread across roughly 1,820 acres in Sugar Grove and Big Rock, Illinois. Businessman Jerry Rich, a Northern Illinois University alumnus, began shaping the ground in 1988 out of a personal passion for golf and course design, drawing inspiration from Augusta National and Dick Wilson's Pine Tree. What started as three holes grew into an 18-hole layout perfected over roughly a decade before officially opening in 1999, when Golf Digest named it the fifth-best new private course. The club has since hosted a remarkable slate of championship golf, headlined by the 2009 Solheim Cup, where Team USA prevailed. It also welcomed the 2017 NCAA Division I men's and women's championships, the Western Amateur, and multiple Palmer Cup and collegiate events, and serves as the home course for Northern Illinois University's teams.
