Stonewall Orchard Gc

Stonewall Orchard Golf Club opened in 1999 in Grayslake, Illinois, in northern Lake County. The public championship course was designed by acclaimed architect Arthur Hills, reportedly his first design in Illinois, and drew national attention soon after opening. Playing to a par of 72 and stretching about 7,124 yards from the championship tees, the layout winds through rolling terrain dotted with tens of thousands of mature pine and oak trees, along with wetlands and abundant wildlife, lending it a secluded feel some compare to golf in the Carolinas. Stonewall Orchard has built a reputation as a competitive-tournament venue, hosting multiple U.S. Open qualifiers, Illinois PGA Professional Championships, and, in recent years, Korn Ferry Tour qualifying. The combination of length, tree-lined corridors and varied green complexes makes it one of the more highly regarded daily-fee courses in the greater Chicago region.
