Half Moon Bay Golf Links - The Ocean Course

The Ocean Course at Half Moon Bay Golf Links debuted in 1997, the work of architect Arthur Hills and the younger of the resort's two eighteens, arriving roughly two decades after the original Old Course. Built on an exposed, largely treeless stretch of coastal bluff south of San Francisco, the layout was conceived to bring genuine links character to the Northern California coast, with wind, firm turf, and the Pacific shaping play. Its closing holes run dramatically along the cliff edge above the ocean, delivering some of the region's most photographed finishing scenery. The Ocean Course added to its résumé in 2008, when it hosted the Samsung World Championship on the LPGA Tour. Today it remains a popular public-access coastal round paired with the adjacent oceanfront lodge.
