Journey at Pechanga

Journey at Pechanga is a championship, par-72 links-style course perched in the rolling hills above Temecula, California, part of the Pechanga Resort Casino owned by the Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians. Designed by architects Arthur Hills and Steve Forrest and opened in 2008, the layout weaves through wine-country terrain with sweeping views of the surrounding valleys. What sets Journey apart is its deep cultural grounding: each of the eighteen holes carries a name in the Luiseno language, and interpretive exhibits along the course tell the story of the tribe's long stewardship of this land. Built with sustainability in mind, it uses reclaimed water and less turf than typical Southern California courses, and has drawn recognition as one of the region's top public tracks.
