Camelback Golf Club

Camelback Golf Club serves the JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa, whose roots trace to the landmark 1936 inn at the foot of Camelback Mountain. The club offers 36 holes across two distinct courses. The Padre, originally a Red Lawrence design from 1970, was substantially reworked by architect Arthur Hills and rewards position play with mature trees, water and clever bunkering across a par-72, roughly 6,900-yard layout. The Ambiente, meaning 'environment' in Spanish, opened in November 2013 from Jason Straka of Hurdzan Fry Environmental Golf Design; its par-72, 7,200-plus-yard routing embraces the surrounding desert with an ecologically minded design. Together the two courses give resort guests contrasting looks, one classic and tree-lined, the other open and modern.
