Redland Golf & Country Club

Homestead merchant Joe L. Burton raised about $40,000 in the 1940s selling memberships and bought 117 acres, hiring Red Lawrence in 1947. The first nine opened February 5, 1949, with a second nine following in 1964; the original Lawrence nine is still the front nine. Listed on the Florida Historic Golf Trail, it is open to the public with posted public rates.
