About Stonebridge at Newport

Opened in 1970 as Newport Yacht & Country Club in Crosby, northeast of Houston, and hosted the LPGA Tour's Houston Exchange Clubs Classic in 1977–78. After years as a private club it was bought and renovated in 1999–2000, reopening as a public course and conference center. Its 18th hole has an island green reached by a St Andrews-style stone bridge.
