Opened in 1964 as the Lake Region Yacht & Country Club along the shores of Lake Hamilton, originally designed by David Wallace. After ceasing operations in mid-2013, it reopened December 12, 2013 following a complete renovation by Rees Jones, Inc. (with Bill Bergin) and was rebranded The Country Club of Winter Haven. It is a private membership club.
