The Golf Club At Little Turtle

The Golf Club at Little Turtle sits just north of Columbus in Westerville and traces its roots to the early 1970s. According to the club, construction began in 1971 on a design by celebrated architect Pete Dye, and the course opened for play in 1975. The par-72 layout threads across mature, tree-lined terrain along Big Walnut Creek, with strategically placed bunkers and the kind of shot-shaping demands that define classic Dye golf. Over its half-century the club has cycled through name changes and ownership, briefly becoming Turtle Golf Club before returning to its original identity. More recent stewardship brought steady investment: facility updates in 2015, an indoor 'Turtle Shack' practice space in 2021, and a modernized ballroom in 2024, keeping the longtime Columbus-area club current.
