This lakeside resort course in Montgomery, Texas opened in 1981 as the Del Lago Resort course, designed by former PGA Tour player Dave Marr. Under later ownership it was substantially redesigned by architect Jeffrey D. Blume (c. 2006-2007) and operated as La Torretta. In 2019 Margaritaville Holdings acquired the 186-acre resort, reopening it in 2020 as The Golf Club at Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe.
