The Preserve at Verdae in Greenville was designed by Willard Byrd and opened in 1991 as Verdae Greens Golf Club. The par-72 daily-fee course is the chief golf amenity of the Embassy Suites Greenville Golf Resort & Conference Center. It hosted the Greater Greenville Classic on the Nationwide Tour (now Korn Ferry Tour) from 1992 to 2000, and was later rebranded as The Preserve at Verdae.
