Gary Player's Wolverine opened in 1999 at Grand Traverse Resort, joining the resort's Spruce Run and Jack Nicklaus' Bear (1985). The front nine is routed through wetlands that were protected and expanded during construction; the back nine has large elevation changes with views of Grand Traverse Bay.
