Steele Canyon Golf Club

Steele Canyon Golf Club opened in 1991 in Jamul, in the rolling hills of East San Diego County, as a 27-hole course personally designed by golf legend Gary Player. The three nines each take on the character of their surroundings: the Canyon nine plays through rugged terrain with dramatic elevation changes and demanding shot-making, the Ranch nine winds across the open fields of a working ranch, and the Vineyard nine threads through wooded lowlands, streams and vineyards along the valley floor. Players can combine the nines into varied 18-hole routings, giving the club real variety from round to round. Regarded as one of Southern California's standout public venues, Steele Canyon has earned a four-and-a-half-star rating from Golf Digest, one of only a small handful of San Diego County clubs to receive that honor.
