About Thornapple Pointe Golf Club
The Golf Club at Thornapple Pointe is a public course in Grand Rapids, Michigan, designed by architect Bill Newcomb and opened in 1997. The par-72 layout stretches to roughly 7,000 yards and winds along thousands of feet of Thornapple River frontage, moving over gently rolling hills, through hardwood-lined fairways, and past preserved wetlands. Its setting is unusually eventful: the property sits near Gerald R. Ford International Airport, Interstate 96, and active rail lines, giving it a memorable 'planes, trains and automobiles' character alongside genuine river scenery. Bentgrass tees, fairways, and greens and elevated tee shots round out a course that has become a well-regarded daily-fee option in the Grand Rapids area, prized for its water views and mature tree lines.
