Anchorage Golf Course

Anchorage Golf Course opened in 1987 as a Bill Newcomb design laid out across rolling, wooded terrain on the southern edge of Alaska's largest city. The routing twists through birch and spruce, but its signature is the scenery: on clear days players gaze across the jagged Chugach Range and, far to the north, the distant summit of Denali. As the region's premier daily-fee course, it takes full advantage of the sub-arctic summer, when rounds can stretch deep into long, light-filled evenings. Wildlife is part of the experience, with moose regularly ambling across the fairways. In 2022 the course made history as the first in Alaska to host a USGA championship, staging the U.S. Senior Women's Amateur, cementing its standing as one of the far North's finest public tests.
