About Turtle Creek Golf Course

Turtle Creek grew out of Waltz Golf Farm, a family turf-farm business that added a driving range, mini-golf and a nine-hole par-3 course in the mid-1960s. Plans for an 18-hole course stalled after the family patriarch died in 1965, and the family revived them in the late 1980s, spending about eight years on planning and development. Designed by Ed Beidel, whose other courses include Five Ponds and Highlands of Donegal, Turtle Creek opened in 1997.
