About University Of Michigan Gc

Designed in the late 1920s by Alister MacKenzie, with Perry Maxwell credited on the plans, the University of Michigan Golf Course was unofficially played in fall 1930 and officially opened in spring 1931 — reportedly only the fourth course built on a U.S. college campus, and one of six MacKenzie courses in the country. A renovation completed in 1994 by alumnus Arthur Hills restored the bunkers and greens. It is university-owned.
