About Valley International Country Club
Valley International Country Club at 301 McFadden Drive in Brownsville traces its origins to 1910, when the Brownsville Land and Improvement Company registered the deed with Cameron County; the original nine holes date to 1910, making it among the oldest courses in South Texas, with a second nine added in 1928. Formerly known as Brownsville Country Club, the facility today offers a championship 18-hole course (par 70, about 6,538 yards) plus an executive par-3 nine. Some directories credit later work to Joe Finger and Dennis Arp, but the original 1910 architect is unknown.
