Why we love this place
Proof that a town course can feel like a getaway. We love Wallkill for its lagoon-framed opening and closing holes, the hardwood ridges in between and a New England-style routing that makes a round in Orange County feel like a walk in the woods with a scorecard.

About Wallkill Golf Course, Town Of
The Town of Wallkill Golf Club is a town-owned public course on Sands Road outside Middletown in Orange County. It opened in 1991 to a design by landscape architect Steve Esposito, who set out to create a New England-style course that made full use of the rolling terrain. The par-72 eighteen opens and closes around a large lagoon, with the first two holes and the 17th and 18th playing along the water, while the holes in between wind across wooded ridges of hemlock, oak and shagbark hickory. Water comes into play on 11 holes, and doglegs and tree-lined corridors reward careful positioning. The course has hosted Metropolitan Golf Association qualifying and the Orange County Amateur.
