Founded in 1921 as Westborough Country Club, this community course began as seven holes and was expanded to nine by greenskeeper Bill Spence in 1935. The Town of Westborough purchased the 110-acre property in 1974, and it is run by the Westborough Recreation Department as a municipal course; it was renamed Westborough Golf Club in 2018. The official club history names no founding architect.
