Why we love this place
We love Winding Creek for proving short can be serious fun. Nine quick holes, a par 29, and a creek that keeps your wedges honest on most of them. Perfect for a lunch-break loop, a new golfer's first scorecard, or sharpening the short game.

About Winding Creek Golf Course
Winding Creek is a public nine-hole executive course on Plastermill Road in Victor, in the Ontario County suburbs southeast of Rochester. GolfPass lists 1991 as the year it was built. The layout is short, a par 29 of roughly 1,500 yards, but the creek that names it matters: golfers' reviews note water in play on at least six holes, and local TV news once showed a fairway off Plastermill Road under water after heavy rains. Its value and scoring chances have earned it a following well beyond Victor; in GolfPass's golfer-voted Top 25 Short Courses in the U.S. it ranked No. 1 in 2022 and No. 9 in 2023.
