About Annandale Golf Club
Annandale Golf Club opened in 1981 as a Jack Nicklaus design, built on the grounds of the former Annandale Plantation just north of Jackson in Madison, Mississippi. A group of local business leaders founded the club to deliver a purist, championship-caliber golf experience, and Nicklaus produced a layout that quickly became the state's modern benchmark; Golf Digest has long rated it among Mississippi's finest. The club earned an early national stage by hosting the 1986 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship. From 1994 through 2013 it served as home to the PGA Tour's fall stop, known over the years as the Viking Classic, Southern Farm Bureau Classic, and eventually the Sanderson Farms Championship, cementing Annandale's reputation as one of the South's premier tournament venues.
