Fallen Oak

Fallen Oak is a Tom Fazio design that opened in 2006 near Saucier, about fifteen minutes inland from the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Play is reserved almost exclusively for Beau Rivage guests, giving the par-72 layout an unusually private, uncrowded feel across its wooded, water-laced acreage. The concept traces back to the Steve Wynn era, when Fazio was asked to craft a coastal companion to his celebrated Shadow Creek; the property ultimately came to fruition under MGM ownership. Fallen Oak quickly collected national design honors and, beginning in 2010, hosted a PGA Tour Champions event, the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic, later known as the Rapiscan Systems Classic. David Eger won that inaugural senior tournament at eleven under par, cementing the course's tournament pedigree.
