Apple Hill Golf Club

Est. 1981 · Frank Colanton; William Bradley Booth (2003 renovation and par-3 course)
Why we love this place

Apple Hill gives you two ways to play: a full 18 with water on more than half the holes, and a nine-hole par-3 course that is perfect for new players and quick evening loops. It is an easygoing public club that keeps the game accessible.

About Apple Hill Golf Club

Apple Hill Golf Club opened its 18-hole course in East Kingston in 1981 on rolling, tree-covered ground. Directory sources credit the original layout to Frank Colanton, while Foretee records a 2003 renovation of the regulation course by William Bradley Booth. That same era brought a second course to the property: a nine-hole par-3 layout, also attributed to Booth, which opened in the early 2000s and made Apple Hill a 27-hole public facility. The main course is a par 70 measuring about 6,184 yards from the back tees and 4,767 from the forward tees, with wide fairways, many trees and water in play on more than half of its holes. The par-3 course, at par 27, offers a shorter option for beginners and quick rounds. Together with leagues, outings and specials run from the pro shop on East Road, the two courses have kept Apple Hill a busy, accessible public club for more than four decades.
