Baywood Greens opened in 1998 in Long Neck, on the Indian River Bay side of Sussex County, designed by Brian Ault of Ault, Clark & Associates. Its two nines are named for what they play through: Woodside, through hardwood forest and natural areas, and Waterside, where 27 acres of man-made lakes and 11 water hazards come into play. The course is known for its landscaping, with more than 200,000 flowers, plants, shrubs and trees, which earned it the nickname "the Augusta of the North." A third nine, Duneside, has been planned to make it a 27-hole complex.
