About Bing Maloney Golf Club

Bing Maloney Golf Course was built in 1952 on 125 acres, laid out by veteran city employee Michael J. McDonaugh, who had worked with Alister MacKenzie on Cypress Point, Pasatiempo and Haggin Oaks. It is named for John B. "Bing" Maloney, the city's former recreation superintendent. A nine-hole executive course was added in 1988; it is a City of Sacramento municipal course.
