Why we love this place

Blackmount is a farm family's idea of a golf course: a hilltop dairy pasture turned into nine friendly holes with room to breathe. We love the small-town welcome, the practice range and the feeling that the Stoddards built it for their neighbors.

About Blackmount Country Club

Blackmount Country Club was created in 1996, when Bob and Linda Stoddard converted a hilltop pasture on the former Blackmount Dairy Farm in North Haverhill into a golf course. Directory listings credit the design to Robert Stoddard himself, placing Blackmount among New Hampshire's family-built courses, shaped by owners rather than a touring architect. The result is a nine-hole, par-36 parkland layout on open former farmland, with multiple sets of tees so players of different abilities can share the course. The club offers a driving range, practice putting green, cart rentals and a teaching professional, and it accepts tee times by phone at the clubhouse. Through the season it hosts charity tournaments, private outings and competitive events, and it operates as a semi-private club that welcomes visitors. Its rural Grafton County setting, far from the crowds of the state's southern tier, gives a round here an unhurried, small-town feel.
