Blue Mash in Laytonsville is an Arthur Hills design with his son, built in 2000 and opened in 2001 as an upscale daily-fee course for Montgomery County by Joe Hills and Tom Healy, the team behind Waverly Woods. It mixes open pasture holes with wooded and water holes, and takes its name from the property's old name, Blue Marsh, after the blue clay of the marshy ground.
