Blue Top Ridge

Blue Top Ridge is the golf centerpiece of the Riverside Casino & Golf Resort in Riverside, Iowa, an original design by Rees Jones with associate Bryce Swanson that opened in 2007. Known widely as The Open Doctor for his work restoring U.S. Open venues, Jones routed the course across rolling southeastern Iowa countryside, using tree-lined corridors, water, and shaping to create a strong resort test that still offers generous playing options. The layout stretches over 7,000 yards from the back tees and pairs championship length with the polish expected of a destination property. Flooding damaged the region in 2009, and the course was restored and reopened, a chapter that occasionally muddies its timeline in outside listings. Today it remains one of Iowa's premier public-access rounds and a frequent host of regional competitions.
