El Caballero Country Club

El Caballero Country Club sits in Tarzana at the western edge of the San Fernando Valley, its championship course shaped by celebrated architect Robert Trent Jones Sr. His design features the hallmarks Jones was known for, gently doglegging, tree-lined fairways and boldly bunkered greens that reward precise, strategic play. In 2021, his son Rees Jones, with Steve Weisser, completed a roughly $10 million, tee-to-green revitalization that rebuilt greens and bunkers, installed drought-tolerant Bermuda fairways and selectively cleared trees while preserving the original strategic character. The club carries a rich competitive resume, hosting USGA championships, U.S. Open sectional qualifiers and multiple LPGA Tour events, including the 2018 U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball and, most recently, the 2025 JM Eagle LA Championship.
