Bolingbrook Golf Club

Bolingbrook Golf Club opened for play in July 2002, a municipal course commissioned by the village and designed by Arthur Hills with Steve Forrest & Associates. Built on former farmland reshaped into rolling contours, the layout weaves water and generous bunkering through an open, prairie-style setting. Its signature, though, is off the fairways: a landmark clubhouse of roughly 76,000 square feet, an ambitious civic statement championed by longtime mayor Roger Claar and nicknamed the "Rog Mahal" by locals. The building houses multiple restaurants, a pro shop and extensive banquet and event space, giving the club a resort-scale presence unusual for a town-owned facility. Together the course and clubhouse made Bolingbrook a high-profile daily-fee destination in Chicago's southwest suburbs and a frequent host of outings, weddings and larger tournaments.
