Challenger 3 Golf Course

Challenger 3 is an 18-hole par-3 course (par 54, about 1,917 yards) built in 1973 at 1650 North Post Road in Shelby, NC (Cleveland County). For decades it anchored a family amusement complex that also included mini-golf, go-karts and batting cages. Ownership has changed several times since 2019 and the property has at times sat idle, so its current operating status is uncertain; no course architect is documented.
