Chaska Town Course

Chaska Town Course opened in 1997 as the municipal complement to nearby Hazeltine National, part of the city's stated ambition to be home to both the finest private and finest public golf in Minnesota. Architect Arthur Hills routed the layout across roughly 285 acres of oak groves, open prairie, and marshland, producing a walkable, links-influenced design that shifts in character from wooded to windswept. The course earned early credibility as a companion practice-and-qualifying venue during the 2006 U.S. Amateur held at Hazeltine, and it was named the Minnesota Golf Association's Course of the Year for 2010. Owned by the City of Chaska, it remains one of the state's most highly regarded daily-fee municipals, praised for conditioning and design quality rarely found at a city-owned facility.
