About Cleveland Heights Golf Course

Opened in 1925 by developer H.A. Stahl and designed by Toomey & Flynn under William Flynn's supervision. After Stahl's Depression losses, the City of Lakeland took over the course in 1932 in exchange for canceling his debt. A third nine was added in the early 1980s, making 27 holes, and 16 of the original Flynn holes remain; the city marked the course's centennial in 2025.
