About Coronado Golf Club

Coronado Municipal Golf Course was designed by Jack Daray Sr. and opened on December 19, 1957, as a 6,146-yard, par-75 layout. It was built on roughly 120 acres of new tideland along Glorietta Boulevard, created when San Diego Bay and Glorietta Bay were dredged in 1956. When the San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge (1966) took some of the course's land, Jack Daray Jr. redesigned the front nine. The 9th and 18th holes were reworked around the 1997 clubhouse.
