Covered Bridge Golf Club opened in 1994 as the home-area course of Masters and U.S. Open champion Fuzzy Zoeller, who co-designed the layout with architect Clyde Johnston. Set on gently rolling ground at the foot of Southern Indiana's Floyds Knobs, just north of Louisville, the par-72 course stretches past 7,000 yards over zoysia fairways and bentgrass greens. Five lakes and a meandering creek thread a well-forested property, and Zoeller's signature touch shows on holes 9 and 18, which share expansive double greens. Four sets of tees let players of any ability find a fair test. The course pairs its golf with one of the region's strongest practice facilities and a large clubhouse, and it has earned repeated recognition among Indiana's friendliest and best-regarded public courses.
