About Island West Golf Club

Island West was co-designed by Fuzzy Zoeller, who served as design consultant, and Hilton Head-based architect Clyde Johnston, carved from coastal forest and built around natural marshland. Most sources give 1992 as the opening year. It plays about 6,800 yards at par 72 with water in play on ten holes, built to be a fun, entertaining round in keeping with Zoeller's style.
