About Creek Golf Club, The

The Creek Golf Club sits on land that was part of Camp Croft, a WWII US Army training facility (1940-1946) south of downtown Spartanburg. After the war the surrounding land became Camp Croft State Park, and the club property was developed into an 18-hole golf course in 1964, designed by noted architect Russell Breeden. The par-72 course plays about 6,653 yards; Taylor Hough purchased it in 1998 and operates it as a public/daily-fee course.
