Why we love this place

Den Brae is a three-generation family farm turned golf course, and you can still see the old barn beams in the clubhouse. We love its Lakes Region views, its easy access off I-93 and the homegrown hospitality of a family that has run it since 1958.

About Den Brae Golf Course

Den Brae Golf Course began on a Sanbornton dairy farm. Construction started in 1957, and the course opened in August 1958 under the Craig family, with Edward Craig credited as its founder and Henry Homan as its designer. The family kept the farm's character: the framework of the original barn is still visible inside today's clubhouse. Den Brae has stayed in the same family ever since and is now managed by the third generation, which has made many changes and upgrades over the years while keeping a relaxed, homegrown feel. The nine-hole, par-36 layout sits in the heart of the Lakes Region, about two minutes from Interstate 93, and offers a challenge for golfers of every level along with scenic views. Members receive their own tee times, while the public can pay green fees and book rounds online, making Den Brae an easy stop for both locals and Lakes Region visitors.
