Est. 1963 · Dick Wilson and Joe Lee (Randy Heckenkemper 2016 redesign)
About Desert Rose Golf Course
Originally opened in 1963 as Winterwood Golf Course, Desert Rose was designed by the architecture team of Dick Wilson and Joe Lee and was among the first courses built during the early Las Vegas golf boom. It is a municipal facility owned by Clark County. Severe flooding in 2012 forced a lengthy closure and a full redesign by architect Randy Heckenkemper, tied to the Las Vegas Wash project; the rebuilt course reopened in 2016 under the name The Club at Sunrise, still county-owned.
